Leicester is 90 minutes south of me and I'm planning on taking less than 4 hours to get down there, so that'll be 2.5 hours or so for you then...

Go on, you know it makes sense.

Too right, you can't miss this one: PCGB remember there are still early cars around, DDK there 'en mass', I think there's some sort of museum ( ) as well: got to be worth that little jaunt :?: :?:

Hope you decide to venture down .... :)

8) Now I feel all warm and cosy, so much encouragement. Thanks you lot, I'm going to have to try and make this.

Without advance tickets, are we guaranteed to get in paying on the gate? Overcoming the distance is one thing but being turned away is another. What are folk doing for accomodation? Oh yeah, and what's the deal with the "60’s or 70’s clobber"???? :rr:

When does everyone head back?

no problem paying at the gate on the day you just won't get the discounted rate. i think it the advanced tickets would have save you about £6.

i'll be heading back home on sunday afternoon time will depend on the weather and or how much there is to do and how much fun we are having.

like the idea of a convoy drive there and back as we can all help each other out if need be.. eg a push start if mine won't start after a petrol stop.

Crafti - the deadline for advanced booking of tickets is not until next Friday (13th) so you've still got time to send off for them.

Go for it fella! We made Stanford Hall (M6/M1 junc) in the Karmann in a little under 3 hours weekend before last, it's a surprisingly OK journey, just stay off the M1!

I can take the M42 (or the old A road past East Midlands Airport) from the M1 to Ashby-de-la-Zouch to join up with Helen before going on to meet with Tom in 'South Birmingham'.

I'd be glad to convoy down 8) .

Not sure whether Mr Bennett's going, but if so, perhaps we can rope him in too?

UPDATE

For those stopping at the hotel here is the menu for the evening out. Please print off and select your order ( Sorry just tested out the print out and it prints half the F**** page is there a graphics person out there that can fiddle with the image for us Please it's late I am tired and it's P**** me off trying to get it all to work. )
Post here what you want.

To make things easy you guys need to get organised.

1. Select what you want... post a reply or send a fax

2. Remember what you ordered.

3. Bring the right money for the food.

4. There might be a surcharge for large table I will see what I can do about this, but be prepaired for a add on.

5. once you know your food order and got your money ready then all you need to pay for then is drinks.

Easy

UPDATE

Fruit ( Bar ) For drinks
La Lupa's for dinner

Saturday Night.

6.30 pm Drinks in the bar at the hotel while ladies do their hair ( and Mdr ) and stuff. More time for Mdr ( it's that photo please tellus you have short hair now)...

7:15 pm Taxis to Southampton ( if enough interest which looks like there is I can arange 2 Mini buses )

7:30 pm Drinks in Fruit (it's a cool Bar) so if any one has to drive their is a good car park there for any one to park up.

9 pm Walk over the road to La Lupa's Italian Restarant Child freindly.

10:45 Taxis back to the Hotel.

The table is booked for 20 people so we have 18 ( 16 + Me and JO ) so far so only 2 places to fill. If Jay B is coming to the meal let me know cos then we have O spaces left.

If we have a sudden rush and loads more people want to come I can see what I can arrange but it might be a different eatery

Ok Taxis Price is £80 for 5 cars 4people in each at Rought cost £4 each return journey.

For transport we have the following..

So if I have this right we have

One speed + 3 = 4
Hellen + 1 = 2 = 6
Boosty +2 = 3 = 9
Early911+1 = 2 = 11 in total so far.. at this rate we are going to need a spread sheet
Mdr +1 =2 =13
Ian Donkin =1 =14
Drummerboytom +1 = 2 = 16 intotal now cool.....

JayB ??? let us know. Even faster now...!!!!!

Well don't let me down guys it's shaping in to a great night out good food and good venues. Pulling a few favours to get us in places. Southampton may not be what you think it is. London prices and resturants Fill FAST......

It's going to be a good night out.

Oh forgot to mention er er.... there is now a rather posh Gentlemans club opened up nr where we are going for any one who wants their glasses steamed up fro the evening er but it might end up costing you a fair few £££££ or Porsche parts

Don't forget any one traveling down and not stopping at the Hotel can come over or stop by for breakfast special rate of £3.95 all you can eat and drink!!! Then we convoy on to the event........

Got my tickets yestersday. Also the 912 is back running with spare engine in place new exhaust and New Porsche heater tubes.. big money...... MOT tomorrow or Tue..

sounds like a plan forming here 8) suggest meet at Mcdees /Ashby services just off J13 M42 (colville/Ashby junction) at 1.20pm then head down the M42 to meet Tom at 2pm at either J2 Hopewood services or M40 Warwick services depending on which way we are heading afterwards????
