Hey Richard I just wondered if there were any updates on your car?

No updates since my last posts.......I'm slowly nursing my wallet back to health (it has taken a bit of a beating after the recent work on the car plus Christmas and the January Tax Bill)!!!

Hopefully it should be going into Alan at Canford Classics a little later this year for fitting up / trimming etc and as soon as it does I'll make sure to get some pictures posted up.

I can post daily updates if you like! ......

....this car drags me out to my garage every day, it's pure art and in my opinion is the most delicious coupe (shell) I've ever seen.......it really is flawless!

Richard is one lucky boy......

One of my favourite photos…..just love how the colour curves around the bottom edge of the engine lid and the SLAM of orange screaming from the number plate panel…and it's all the same colour!!!…..I'll never tire of drooling over tangerine!

I am in the middle of compiling a parts list and it looks like my OPC will be doing very well out of me over the next few weeks! On the subject of parts, please can the collective knowledge on DDK clarify the following queries I have with regards to my COA:-

1.) The car is an early US supplied 1972 model year 911T MFI with a production completion date of 01/07/71. THE COA states stabiliser front 20mm, rear 18mm. However, the car came with a 15mm stabiliser at the front.....does anyone know if this is likely to be correct and is it likely that my COA is wrong?

2.) Does 18mm rear stabiliser sound correct?

3.) Comfort equipment - leather steering wheel is also stated.....can anyone clarify what else constituted comfort equipment in addition to the leather steering wheel... for example should the lettering on the rear deck-lid be black or gold with this option?

Sounds like that's a CoA from Porsche Cars GB - I had the same info on one of my cars from them regarding anti-roll bars.

20mm front anti-roll bars were not fitted to any production 911 in the '69-'73 years.

15mm F&R anti-roll bars were optional on '72T models (std on S)

M 470 : Comfort group for T-model:


Velouren carpeting
Gold ”Porsche” nameplate and model number
Aluminium door sills
911S rubber mouldings on bumpers and below doors
Chrome rocker panels
911S instruments
Rubber bumperettes
Leather covered steering wheel

So it looks like my COA needs to be amended to read Stabiliser front 15mm, rear 15mm then (as I presume front 15mm, rear 18mm would not have been an option on a US T)?

I'm trying to keep the car standard but I'm not sure how the gold lettering is going to look on a tangerine car with a black deck-lid grill and the chrome rims of the taillight lenses....it sounds a bit of a mish-mash on paper....hope it looks better in the flesh!

Not quite all the details but most (and a celebrity thrown in),
