May not be your thing, but have you a copy of Jerry Pantis' "The Porsche 904,906 & 910 in The Americas" ISBN 0-9784719-0-3. It contains loads of period photos, which may be a good source of reference for you?

Yes, got that - & "Porsche 904 the truth & the rumours", & "Porsche 904 - Die Komplette Dokumentation" ...

Sorry for the lack of an update but some more pieces of the 'jigsaw' are coming together.

Still spending lots (100's ? of hours!) of time searching the world for correct parts (which most people won't even notice ) & trying to identify the origin of others.

I will post some minor updates soon.

Brilliant project, and one to inspire. Not that I know much about 904, other than them being the most desirable of all road / track cars (I mean Abarths are nice, but 904 hustle...), but what does the second column lever do? Assume one is for indicators, and the other for wipers?



If so, the Kombi switch plate will need re-tagging, or some serious smarts on re-wiring as the indicator SWF indicator switch plate as a common input to the center pole? If you get the flasher equipped version at least you get up / down for squirt control as well?

If I was closer, I'd be volunteering to sort it out, just to get near to such a delicious project! Eagerly watching... Neko.

On a 904, the lefthand column stalk controls the indicators & the righthand one the headlamp main/dip/flash functions.

Washers/wipers are controlled by a separate switch on the dash to the left hand side of the steering wheel:

Ah ha. I recall that from earlier, I should have made the connection. Excuse the pun. Depending on the On sequence you may need to be snappy with your wiring, unless you've got a 904 wiring diagram that shows how to use a common center pole switch for lights? Neato regardless... Neko.

Andy, it sure is great that you're sharing this build on here. it will be some fantastic sled once you get it set up and running.
