... the exact reason I've always dug my heals in with Brian and told him unconditionally we ( DDK ) have to be in a trackside campsite

We might not have the facilities, but as you say , the sound of 917's , supercharged Aston's etc blatting past whilst trying to get a bit of shut eye @ 3 am is what to be CLM is all about
Jason, I thought you'd booked already ? Rouen ?

If only !!!
The only blot on an otherwise brilliant wknd based on 2010. Improving the ablutions would make it a lot easier persuading our better halves to come along for the fun.

That's exactly why we need the grubby toilets!
This is my long weekend away

I'm starting to think it will be wise to leave the porsche at home and borrow my parents caravan?

Ah, memories of balmy nights, and furnace hot days!
Gary did you take this photo of my car?? It appears to be sporting a prototype roofbox from THULE's new "supermini" range

Bought a new tent this week specially for CLM. Very proud. I can even stand up in this one.
Having been suitable upstaged by your other luxury canas homes compared to my ultra lightweight 2 man hiking tent I'd had for 20 years, I was persuaded (you know what I mean

) it was time to upgrade. (An expensive guest house would have been cheaper given I use it once every years

)
Trial 'construction' planned for this wknd weather permitting.

Is that some kind of sick joke?
There's not less than 5 days to go yet?
I'm trying to outdo Peter this time.....although his Nurburg/Spa trip with about 14mins to go before deciding might be tricky...

Hi guys,
Not having attended a CLM in the past, but having heard great things about it, I'm really keen to attend this year. I do have a few questions which may be daft but please do bear with me
I don't have a pre 74 911 - in fact it's a 1980 3.0 SC (on PMOs and SSIs if that helps?) - do I still qualify to be a DDK'er?
Accommodation - my other half is also keen to come along but she is currently recovering from a very serious illness, so camping this time (we'll be fine with camping in 2014) isn't really an option. Does anybody have any experience of a decent hotel/B+B nearby (I'm mindful of the fact that they're probably all booked out by now
Any other top tips?
All advice/hints gratefully received
Many thanks.

You'll be very welcome - ddk is inclusive not exclusive
No idea on chateau accommodation though

DDK has always been for fans of early pre-74 Porsches ..... not just for owners ..... so as Mark say's, every one who like old Porsches is welcome
The reason we organise the DDK tickets etc is purely down to the fact that it's the only way we can guarantee to all camp together en mass.
If you're not camping you can still buy all your tickets etc via DDK , but you might also want to look at the ticket package from Porsche Club France as you will then be able to have infield parking, which might be important if you are driving in each day ( for those of us who are camping, this isn't important as we are only a short walk from the centre of the circuit as our camping area is track side)

If you're travelling to Classic Le Mans then you may wish to consider purchasing a commemorative badge (and help our charity appeal too).
