Thanks for all the kind words guys......I sometimes worry that people have grown tired of this thread so appreciate the feedback. Looking forward to the end but then I've started so......

Graham, the belts are well clear of the sender and are pretty thick/taut so there shouldn't be any issue.

....there's no unveiling to speak of......I'm just itching to hear the car screaming and roll with other early 911's just as I have in my E.....

....but yes Kieron, I would like to make Hedingham but don't expect it'll happen.....I'm picking the car up next Wednesday, back to us to black-out engine lid and a couple of other minor items...then to Nick on the 25th for engine/gearbox fit before heading back to Gary for alignment, MOT, final fettling etc....

.....pretty tight for Hedingham!......plus this car isn't quite standard so expect there may be one to two teething items to resolve along the way.

But then not long now in the grand scheme of things :)

Cheers,

Looks awesome Darren, can't wait to see it. I think you've done a fantastic job of building a dream car!

Brakes look huge - they'll have to re-tarmac the roads where you have been braking.

See you soon.

Darren,

I'm sure you, and the guys can make it happen!

Worst case give Mr C some Redbull to help burn the midnight oil.

Looking forward to seeing you and Mongrel at Hedingham.

Be positive.

Best

Sanjay

As the other guys said, amazing attention to detail, top work. Must be incredibly satisfying to sit back and admire all that graft.

Come on man! Where's your sense of purpose! Stop masking shite off, get out in that garage and get it ready for headingham

It'll be the last chance for most of us to see it this year - come ooooooon! You can do this thing

(OK I'll admit I just watched Rocky again)

But still - go for it

.....no sweat on that front Sanjay.....Gary was still beavering away on my car and contacting me at 9:30 last night!

Gary is an absolute star and would work 24 hours a day if I asked him to......the engine on the other hand still requires a little work.....

Image

....that said, this is largely cosmetics with little time involved....if everything goes smoothly! :? ......at least the MFI pump has been properly tested and we know it performs faultlessly straight out of the box with zero adjustments! 8)

I'm not actually that fussed about getting the car to Hedingham......there's obviously plenty of eye candy and the best bit is catching up with people but it's a static event and pretty boring in that regard.

This car is being built for driving not showing!

Now if I could have made it to Spa that would have been a deadline worth chasing!

Cheers,

All the (many) individual details are finally coming together - it's going to be a fabulous car Darren.

Alright maybe purpose is the wrong word

And I know you've built it to drive etc but for those of us who've been following the thread for ages it would be great to see it at the castle

Looks proper gay.

Wait till I've thrown some gravel at it, Russ asks why you painted it a faded red and Peter has shown you can't keep up with him in a 912 and farted on your passenger seat.

Then you can come out and play.

I know this is a bit late now, but I really think you should have kept it stock.

....only teasing Mark

I'd also dearly love to get it Hedingham but expect a few obstacles to surface and won't compromise anything at this stage.....we'll see.
