914-6 oil tank holes
Paul Herbert kindly lent me his hole punches to cut my oil tank apertures.
They are the Q-max sort and work brilliantly (and a lot more quietly) than hole saws and don't leave nasty burrs.
Just mark out the hole centres using the school boy method of a set of compasses.
then drill pilot hole for punch

The only hole without a stamped guide for location is the scavenge line. I made a template and drilled a hole. I'm glad I did a test fitting first before the final cut because I was 3/4" out
And then with the tank installed everything is nice and central
Now when the hell hole is welded up I can get the engine bay painted in blut orange...

Its a lot easier without the engine in - we cut the holes for my tank earlier this week but with the engine in place.
did you use a factory tank by the way?

I was just thinking that soon there will be more 6 cylinder '14s on the road here in the UK than 4's!
