912/912e values?

Post by boz »

Just been checking out the feature on the 912 Register website http://www.912register.co.uk/912values.html about 912 values.

I'd like to hear everyone's opinions/thoughts on 912e values in comparison to 912 values. Overall are they worth a bit more, a bit less or about the same?

On average they seam to be less by a little margin.. it's Harder to sell a 912E over a 912.. but that does not seam to be a major problem..

The E is not to every ones taste but having owned one I would own one again... Well my old black one that is.......

The bestest 912E out there..... que Nige and witty comments about his, but his was a gaylord 912E cos it had no chin spoiler

did you remove the chin spoiler to sell your 912e? or didnt you mind that it depreciated the value of the car

912E values ARE slowly on the up!!

Post by Der Fudgemeister »

Being a 912E pervert I can concur that,

They are slowly on the up :P . Agreed they are not as well regarded as the 616/36 powered cars of the 60's but from knowledge cars here were in the 5K to 7K region at the turn of the century and last year saw E's in the 9K to 12K price range. The USA has seen simular rises in values.
A excellent low milage, full history Red example was on e-bay last October at a buy it now price of $30,000. It did eventually go for $26,000. My spies over the pond say it should be in the factory museum instead of now residing in Florida.
