Joining UK 912 Register

Post by boz »

Hi
How do I go about joining the UK 912 Register? Is it a seperate organisation from the US 912 register?

Confusing isn't! Sorry about that.

The Register website isn't part of the PCGB and is a seperate entity run by me. Initially it was hoped it would be sanctioned by PCGB but sadly that hasn't happened I think in part by the nature of the CoC and Corporate guidelines from Porsche. So it remains my venture with no support either monetarily or otherwise from anyone, hence the disclaimers.

So I run the site as an independant resource for folk... you can send in your cars picture and be part of the Register that way. (cue warm feeling inside)

Who knows what may happen in the future

We might even do a Grille Badge, Window Stickers etc...

I'm hoping to do a bit more in the future for 'members' watch this space...

OH where's my post gone :? oh well...

My post was on the here on the lines of

it's Gavins web site done by him and not PCGB, infact PCGB got very nasty at one stage about the web site.. But realised it would be an asset and Gavin has kept it independant.. which I think is a good thing.. eg you can write what you want.. with out big brother.

Post a pic to Gavin with your name a few words and he will put your car in the members area..

Top site and some great info... JOIN it..

Gavin you haven't got my 65 912 on the members bit...

Will pm a picture..

Gavin
I haven't bought a 912 yet, but may do very soon. I phoned a couple of insurance companies for quotes on such a car and one of them (AON Insurance) gave me a very good quote. They advised that a further discount on the premium was available if I was either a member of PCGB or the 912 Register. Hence the question about joining.

Can I join if I don't have a 912 yet?

When you get a car you can send me it's pic, until then you can be an Member in waiting. Seriously though, we are just a loose bunch of like minded folk interested in '12's... maybe we should get a bit more formal in the future, what do yo think guys?
