914 2.0 crankcase anyone?

Post by Gilbert '71 T »

this is a longshot

anyone have a good 914 2.0 case going, would prefer non align bored but i guess either .25 or .50 will be ok.

or if anyone knows where I could get bearings in STD crank .40 Case  but that's an even longer shot I bet :(

Thanks all

Is there a particular reason your after a 2Ltr case?
What features are you looking at?
I have 1 maybe 2 cases but neither are 2Ltr & as far as I`m aware std bore mains.

Hi Pablo,

Was hopefully after a 2.0 case to replace what came in my car (GA align bored for 040 mains  & I have no hope of finding those bearings).

Actually now you mention it is there any reason I couldnt use 1.7/1.8 (EA/B/C, W or AN) to build a 2056 with my 71mm crank. do the earlier cases need machining for the bigger pistons?

Darren

I have a short block that you can have - not sure of condition (it's currently being used as a stand for my lawnmower!). Will check out the engine number.

They will be stripped yes all bar the studs, but I just thought, I had better make sure they are 914 cases, not Type 4 as they differ in the oil filler & dipstick areas.

Ad`s offer is good, sounds defo like a 914 case and he is way closer to you.

Let me know when you go down your route and I will have a dig about in the shed.

GA and GB Crankcases, 71mm liter cranks

Post by hcarraro »

Hello everyone,

I didn't see this string until today. Just wanted to let you all know I have a collection of Porsche 914 items for sale. Three GA and one GB 2.0 liter crankcases. Each has been cleaned, inspected and determined to be in very good condition and never align bored.

One 914 GA engine, missing cylinders and fuel injection system.
One 914 GA engine complete with fuel injection. Good running motor.
One 914 1.8 engine complete with fuel injection. Good running motor.
One 914 1.8 engine complete with fuel injection. Good running motor.

I have a friend who regularly ships containers to Belgium and Italy and could easily include engines and transmissions in these shipments.

Let me know if you have any interest.

Cheers,
