Carpet replacement and trimming

Post by Nick Moss »

If you need new carpets for your 911/2 there are several sources.

Sounthbound. Based near Winchester they have a superb reputation. Not cheap, but the highest quality. I have just bought a 67 911 carpet set in the original anthracite (salt and pepper) material for £425 plus VAT

Forestfine. Based in Brighton, they are a fairly new company, but a very good source of rubbers and trim parts. The same carpet is £395 +

Appbiz. I recently puchased a perlon lightweigt carpet set from Robert Brashears of Appbiz in the USA via EBay. The carpet cost $229 plus about $30 postage and VAT. Supurb quality and easy to fit using Evostick contact adhesive. Story here

Thank you for your interest in our products and services. We have a
variety of carpet sets for your car.(1967 912 LHD)
Pricing is as follows:

Carpet set (domestic cut pile or loop) $299.00
Carpet set (German Perlon) $399.00
Carpet set (German Velour) $669.00

We have a very nice quality domestic carpet whcih probably gives you
the most bang cor your buck. The Perlon is the same material as is
used in the trunk. The Velour is what would have been used in the
911's and is the nicest of all the choices. We do not have sound
deadner or padding kits for the carpet. The carpet padding is
available from most auto upholstery shops in bulk form if you plan on
doing the installation yourself. We are temporarily out of catalogs
but in the meantime we will send copies of the 900 series pages for
your inspection.

I am going to in the new year look into making up some seat covers as I have all the equipment here industrial sewing machines etc for my company. So I also will look into making up carpet sets as well. I will need to use a car as a template pref SWB car.

Do you want a car or a carpet set? LHD or RHD?

I have just bought a complete new RHD SWB carpet set from Southbound and have a complete original set to come out of the car
