ignition lock question

Post by cschmueck »

Hi, does anyone here know if the ignition lock of a 993 will work in a 1972 911T?
I have the dreaded starter lockout problem and have wired in a push button under the dash. Works fine, but I find it annoying...

Thanks in advance!

Looking on Type 911 it seems that it will do as the age range includes the 993 and goes back as far as 1970

Thanks Ian- I had not looked on here for a while- apologies. I have now found time tio attempt a repair. It was not the standard issue with the little pin though. the entire cruciform that operates the electrical parts has snapped off. I reckon irreparable- does anyone here have any suggestions/ experience with such a case?
Thanks!

I would try Tuthill Used Parts. They have a huge selection of used stuff and are very helpful. They advertise on Ddk in the Trade Wanted/Parts section.
