Should there be some sort of seal ? ...

Post by Lightweight_911 »

.

I can't seem to find the answer in PET nor find anything listed by the usual parts suppliers - should there be a rubber seal at the back of the engine compartment where the throttle pull rod exits ?

If the answer's 'yes' - anybody know the part no. ?

There isn’t one on my car, but that doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be :)

I’d have thought not though as there is a chance of it sticking the throttle open

Never seen a seal there on the 3 engines I’ve had, 2.2, 2.4, 3.2.
Too much risk of throttle interference.
