Nice weather, nice bargains?

Post by Rich40w »

I always used to enjoy the Husborne Crawley Porsche Autojumble in the days before eBay…. Recall getting some amazing bargains as well as missing some, well recall losing out on a lovely set of chrome bumpers and tops Francis Tuthill at a crazy £100 the set (was too skint!) and someone offering a brand new, still in plastic early 914 footstool for £25…..sigh…..

Anyone aware of any current Porsche Autojumbles coming up that have respectable ‘want to clear’ prices?

Prices are now much more dictated by similar sold eBay items. Particularly for the 914 desirable parts sell really fast with online adverts. The UK914 Facebook page is very active over here. I have also had luck using the saved search function on eBay to notify me of odd bits which are not sold often. Recently bought an unused set of Maxilite Fuchs and a few years ago a Rennshift, though was on the German site so a bit of translation to work out shipping!

For in-person there was the Greatworth meet, and no doubt will be another, but online is the year-round marketplace

We are keen to host another DDK swapmeet later in the year. There is a bit of development work occurring on the park at the moment. When it’s complete we’ll ask the new residents if we can continue to use what will be a posh new car park.

Great progress has been made on the new buildings, almost finished. We now have to tidy up the other adjacent car park and we should be able to host another swap meet.Image
