Well it was a numbers matching car. The original engine went with the car, albeit partially disassembled.

That’s a shame, where did it end up Jason?
Paul - I had assumed the friend’s project you were interested in was another early 911 but it seems not. What’s up next?
The force is strong in this one ......

The next one will be something more modern. I took a look at the facebook post. He's certainly scrubbed it up well.

Re: Where to sell my car?
Just to say, I'm now the new owner of the car.
I spoke with Paul when I saw it advertised, but I was away on holiday at the time and couldn't make it to see the car at the time.
Paul kindly passed my details onto the trader he sold it to, who got in touch the next day. He was considering keeping the car for himself and took a few days to decide, but eventually agreed to sell it on to me. Turns out he was very good to make a deal with and was happy to take a small profit for a no hassle quick sale, he could also hold the car until I got back.
So, 540 miles road trip with my son to go look at the car, buy it, then another 540 miles home again. Drove perfectly all the way.
A huge thank you to Paul for building this great car, all the detailed work he's done and to such a high standard. The keeping of all the receipts etc to provide such a fantastic history is the icing on the cake.
Woke up this morning and decided to take it for another drive, I think it will be very happy up here

A great outcome & it sounds like it's been passed on to a befitting new owner ...
Hope you have many (more) enjoyable miles driving it.

Very much so. Lived in Tornaveen for ten years, Aberdeen for a few years before that, and spent many a weekend at Laggan Wolftrax. I could probably drive the Lecht blindfolded.

Nice place to live and surrounded by great roads.
It take it you're not there now?

No, nearly nine years in NL now. Anyway, enough thread hijacking. Doing a proper introduction post, and/or more pics of your road trip home?
