Mike Bainbridge but I believe he packed his tools up now. So you could either use Greatworth Classics or Nick Fulljames,

Both in the middle of the UK, both with sky high reputations.
Might be a wait for either, a good sign imho.

Surprised you didn't volunteer Graham. You always like a project over the winter.
If Graham was up for a project I'd trust him completely, having seen how meticulously he looks after his car.

1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Re: Engine rebuilder for 72 2.4S
I'm already 'booked-in' with an old friend and DDK'r on a slow burn 2.4S rebuild.
Not too sure many on here would trust me with their engine Rob!
An engine rebuild (as you are finding out) is all about 100% preparation and having the Dempsy book to hand plus a few special tools.
And of course time.
Bob Watson said several times to me that he took 2 weeks to strip, clean, measure, order parts.
2 weeks to allow for any machining / plating etc (with his outside suppliers ignoring lead time queues)
2 weeks to fit up and build.
A special engine would be a lot longer...
You can see where the costs come in.

Re: Engine rebuilder for 72 2.4S
I’ve entrusted the job to EB Motorsport.
They are around 50pc of the way through. It’s been very educational (and expensive!)
