Sill trim installation
Hello,
Previously my car had drill holes to fit the S type sill trim. Since my car had new inner and outer sills the car doesn’t have the holes. So thought I would ask if anyone used double sided tape to fit the trim, or glue etc?
Don’t really like the idea of drilling fresh metal after Resto?
Any ideas if what product is best if any?

Holds windscreens in place so should hold your trims quite easily.

Re: Sill trim installation
Thanks for this, would I still be able to remove at a later date without damaging the paint?

.
I think you posted this is the wrong section - this is for '74-on models ...
I've used double-sided (carpet) tape to secure the wide alloy sill trims in the past but didn't attempt to remove them again.

Re: Sill trim installation
I tried this. Gave up in the end and drilled holes in the new paint. As nothing is straight it needs to be ‘pulled in’
Brave pill needed
Lots of grease on the holes, remove the swarf and I didn’t try too hard to secure the bottom edge so they can drain easily

Re: Sill trim installation
Hello Gary. If that’s the case then I may get my body guy to drill while it’s in last stages of primer.
Thanks again
