Sell the fuel tank on ebay (or on here). That will fill a gap for somebody, and people value originality.
1970 911T, Signal orange (Restoration thread)
1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

If anyone wants it happy for it to go free to a good home. I’m not sure if it’s original or not. Sure someone with the skills and time could restore it. PM me if any interest.

Maybe offer it here for say £100 or donation to the charity:

It's worth that all day long if original. If you give it away cheap/free a trader will only insert themselves between you and an enthusiast, and flip it for a profit.

You can always drop the price if no takers.

Failing that, put it to one side for the DDK swap meet.

I’ll do that if I can work out its original. See below - three fittings - I presume the one on the right is the screen filter. There are no under tank fittings - did the originals have those?

The allen key is the drain plug. The others - one is send and the other return I think. Looks original to me. Does it have a thick plasticky underseal type material all over it? Grey if I remember correctly.

Yes the finish is thick underseal type - rough / pimpled. I’ll get some more images and see if anyone can positively ID. Don’t want to bill it as original if it’s not!
