What distributor are you using?
I have a spare Bosch 0 231 169 009 - JFUD 6 which looks almost new you are welcome to borrow whilst you pull yours apart if you want?

Re: Using a snap-on timing light
It has taken me a quite a while to get a photo of it but it is 0 231 184 001 which seems to a later version of the 169 008.168 009, 169 010 but with the points on the other side.
That is a very kind offer perhaps I could buy it off you if you have no use for it and you think it is ok?
