New member from Leeds. 911T
Hello folks,
Great forum. Glad to be part of it going forward.
I'm in the process of restoring a rusty '72 model 911T targa.
My evenings seem to consist of a lot of welding, cutting and grinding, interspersed with a bit of swearing when I inevitably burn myself.
My car isn't one for the purists. The original engine is long-gone. However, interestingly, it's been fitted with a 930 turbo motor which should make for an interesting drive!
There are a few bits and bobs which I'll be needing as I work through the restoration. I'll be scouring the ads for items of interest.

Welcome to the madhouse - one which is a great resource of all things Porsche. By the way, you realise that you now need to start a build thread. Oh, and pics are a must...

This is how the Porsche looked before I started work on it. Believe it or not, there's an early 911 hiding underneath the acres of fibreglass.
In the not-too-distant future I'll get some photos of how it now looks.

It's currently getting new sills and I'm replacing sections of the inner front wings.

A bit Miami Vice Ferrari, possibly....

I kind of like that in a weird way … as you say looks a bit like it’s stepped out of a GTA game

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

It'll be quite unique a longhood with that turbo in it. Looking forward to seeing it take shape.

Looks a fab project, and having been ‘personalised’ quite so much over the years there is zero inclination to make it anything other than your own spec. Enjoy the freedom!
And more gory bodywork pics please

Irish Classic registration - where did you find it?
I think it’s quite cool - certainly original- 930 turbo motor?
Someone over here must have heard of it…..
Come in majordad…..
