3.2 Carrera Motorsport Engine

Spec of the engine is as follows:

Engine is built on 3.2lt Carrera cases that were used only as a dummy engine for setting up 962 trans axle.
Crankcases are gas flowed and dowel pinned
Crankshaft is 3.2lt Carrera which has been lightened and balanced to zero and super finished.
Con rods are Carillo motorsport items which are lighter and balanced to zero.
Oil pump is brand new 997 GT3 item with larger pumps
Mahle 100mm high compression barrels and pistons
3.2lt heads, twin plug, new valves and guides
Eibach motorsport valve springs and titanium spring retainers.
RSR spec camshafts. Adjustable rockers. New chains, drive cogs and rails.
52mm inlet to heads.
Twin plug distributor, with 12 plug cap recently rebuilt with new leads
Bosch motorsport high flow injectors.
Header exhaust system with Lamda fitting.
Lightweight engine cover and tinware replacement.
Lightweight motorsport flywheel

It was Dyno'd at 360 bhp Din when fitted with a Motec M48 management and old PMO manifolds with data logging which has been removed. It had 355nm torque on Bob Watsons Rolling road,

With a modern Motec System or similar it will have more.

Gearbox

1985 915 version with internal oil cooling pump and external side cooler, stronger single plate pinion upgrade and strengthened.

Total miles since rebuild engine and gearbox 2000.

Last serviced by Nick Fulljames and then JZ Machtech on behalf of previous owner.

Price £30K for engine and gearbox.

Can be supplied with new induction system and installed as a turn key engine in your project car as required.
