914 Scheel 114 seat help.

Post by swb100 »

I need help with this seat. I have owned it for more than twenty years and always thought it was a Scheel 114. It came out of a period 914-6 GT when it was converted to an FIA race car and modern race seats were installed. I have had it in my 914/6 race car most recently just because it was around and I needed a passenger seat for the regs. However on closer inspection the 'button' in the seat back is not one I recognise. There is no indentification on the underside. Any body got any Ideas ? Thanks, Glynn.

Glynn - can you post a close-up picture of the logo ?

I've had a few seats in the past manufactured/ sold by A.S.S (yes really !) - Auto Sport Spezialsitze - which were very similar to Scheels, in fact I think Scheel bought/incorporated A.S.S sometime in the 1970's.

Sorry for the slow response Glynn - I'm fairly sure that's a König seat (not sure the company exists any more but they manufactured a range of seats that were similar to Scheels) ...
