LA Lit meet 2024

Post by 914-6 »

Is anyone on here going to LA for this years LIT Meet ?
I would love too, but unfortunately my wallet is only just surfacing after Rennsport.
Reason I ask is that I am in need of a wiring diagram in colour and large format (poster size) and I know there's been a guy there on my past 3 visits to LIT who sells them.
iIf you can bring one back for me please let me know.
many thanks
Ianl

Us lot a bit East of you are doing the 2025 lit meet but missing this year cos we have a few European jaunts to take in. However I'm sure there is a party who advertises in the 356 Registry mag who does these. I'm not sure if YNZ does the big diagrams, can't find the add in the latest mag but I'll have a trawl through some old issues to find it. You doing 356 Intl in Estoril??

Strangely the idea of looking at over priced items in a small hotel conference room and being bused around the local shops has never appealed to me.

OK, the kit on sale in the Hilton is a bit overpriced but it's neat looking at all the stuff. Then you don't take Stoddards crew bus round the shops, you go in your renter, that way you can spend as much time as you do or don't want at each of the shops, eat all the free grub, have time to chat with all the staff and do the same for the whole week. The shops just love to meet up with a Brit and talk Porsches. We think we are going to rent an apartment this time instead of hotels which have really shot up in price. In the evenings it's easy to find some great places to eat and hear some good music and Ole Stretchy an me bookends the week with upper class seats on Virgin Atlantic.

Basically what we did in 2022- AiRbnB in Cosa Mesa - near many of the Porsche shops.
Far better than the actual Lit meet at LAX Hilton IMO was the 356 club swapmeet at the boys school [Steve Mcqueens alma mater] on Sunday - brilliant afternoon - a Porsche picnic! Even a 959 parked up with everyone else!
Thrown in a morning at the Petersen and an afternoon at NHRA museum- its all worth putting up with the undoubted shithoie that is LA.
I prefer BA Club to Upper Class VA too............
