E9, lovely. I drove one last year and thought it was great, an option for a slightly more practical (space?) and very stylish car than the 911

That’s how they left the factory…

Looks just right on those steelies. There was a similar one at Barrington on New Years Day.

Lovely aren't they?
Always fancied one even over the early Elans being mid engined and all that dynamic.

Reputation for being very hot inside I think.
Door tops always were awkwardly curved, shame as the rest is perfect.

I remember lusting after the V8-engined Europa built by GKN when it was featured in Car & Car Conversions in the late '60's ...

I’d forgotten about that! I, too, lusted after it! Sadly that registration number is on a Land Rover which hasn’t been taxed since 1993…

Talking of which, here it is, the ex-Janspeed, ex-Cars & Car Conversions racing Unipower GT, a bespoke race car as opposed to a modified road car. Was for sale last year for around £60k. What a pair the GKN Europa and this would make in your garage! Well, preferably my garage...

Yes, what a real beauty.
The Unipower book is a good read, what a struggle, almost matches the TVR story for strife..

Had a quick look at the layout. Looks like a perfect candidate for electric AC.
