Small roads in Herefordshire and Shropshire. Av speeds (depending on class) varying between stages 22mph to 27mph....a lot of fun, I was nav in a 1925 Frazer Nash, in Trophy Fast class, no prizes but a strong satisfying finish.
The Trophy Invitation class was won by this lovely '59 T5 356 B Super in Slate Grey....seen here at the finish, it was gleaming at the start!Image

I do have a deepening itch for a fast Ford, to update the memories of the slow one I had before I started a 35 yr air cooled journey.

I have to admit, one thing I love at the hillclimbs is listening to a BDA (or these days a Millington) being redlined...

.

- even better than that was the sound of Peter Day's 2-cylinder 850cc 'BDA'-engined Mini Clubman at ~ 9000rpm !!

I was lucky enough to see it racing several times in the late '70's
