Pedal assembly removal

Hi everyone
The pedal assembly bushes have have decided to collapse before I go to CLM, not great timing but could have been a lot worse.
The parts are ordered but I don't have a many spare hours over the next couple of weeks to carry out the repair.
Can anyone advise of the quickest/easiest way of removing and rebuilding please.

I'm not around for the next 2 weekends and travelling during the week, the pelican parts and other threads don't make good reading!!

The Pelican 'instructions' are spot-on.
It sounds quite complicated, but it is not but is awkward.
It is the pin that is the tricky bit, the rest is messing and working in an awkward space.
Lots of the fasteners can be rusted tight down there.

I agree it's a very straightforward job I'm just worried I only have a few hours spare over the next couple of weeks, normarally a job I'd enjoy but no room for any problems I'm afraid.

Take the pedal box out, come up to mine one evening and we can sort it I'd say bring the car, but that would mean it would have to be finished there and then or else!

I followed those instructions when I did mine, the scary sounding roll pin just knocked out.

I agree with the above. I think it's a 2 or 3 hour job if you're lucky and nothing breaks.

I had the bits powder-coated, so mine took a while.

I couldn't get the pin out on mine - but maybe that was because I was being a bit of a girl about it. Took the lot down to a local metal fabricator and a chap with arms bigger than my legs hit it in a very disrespectful but forceful way - and out it popped. His look suggested I should stick to my desk job.

Help! How you get the clip retainer pin off the clevis and shaft clutch pedal. Got everything else sorted. Mike Bainbridge replaced the clutch clevis pin clip but couldn’t get hold of a new shaft, thought I’d tackle it now but what a old git of thing to get out. Wrestling with clutch pedal to be able to see it. Any easier ways?

The problem is removing that clevis retaining pin, I’ve unclipped it but doesn’t want you to budge. Will have another go when the festivities are over. Merry Christmas.

You often find with the clevis pins that the pin has worn creating a step which resists removal. Try pushing the cable up toward the pin or rotating the pin 180 degrees or so

Took me 5 mins to release that pin this evening. Just shows what a break can do and pick/ hook.
Anyway pedal box out, floor all solid with no surface rust, 46 years of muck though so a good hoover and clean. Quick brush of POR15, pedal box split, new bronze bushes and ready to be fitted when things are dry.
