Great photograph…wonderfully dated and full of such atmosphere…seemed to have caught the group in different states of being prepared for the shot…who’s car was the P1800…?

Yep, Roger Daltrey. Looks like it was a Jensen car, had a colour change between May & Nov '66. Tax due Mar '83, V5 issued Apr '87 - hopefully it didn't go to the breakers before it got old...

Pale yellow was quite popular back then.
I did 2 cars in Primrose yellow and carried that onto my 911 to in Champagne Yellow, a 356 colour.

The days when holidaying in Syria, Iran & Afghanistan was safer than motor racing. The 2cv was 'quite reliable'

My father in law did that route as far as Shiraz in the mid 70s in a held-together-with-riveted-on-biscuit-tin VW camper. Even then it was apparently mega sketchy with lots of bribes / arrests / running from bandits etc.
