Can anyone recommend a good ODB2 scanner?
My wife's Honda CR-V is intermittently throwing multiple dash warnings (ABS, Stability, ..) and refusing to start. It doesn't even crank so clearly thinks there's a safety issue. Go back to it 15mins later and it starts and runs fine. It's not the battery, the voltage is good and the alternator is charging correctly.
Just need something to decipher fault codes. Reckon it must be a dodgy sensor somewhere.
Thanks

Re: ODB2 Scanner
It could be a crank sensor, and its back up is the cam sensor, perhaps one or both have failed or are going. Normally turning the ignition off and leaving it for some time, resets the ECU. Most sensors have a 6 cycle memory, so even if you clear the codes, after 6 starts they will come back again. Which is one way to find out exactly what the fault is.
