cars for sale section

Post by porker914 »

Is it just me that is a little fed up with the number of Non porsche in the cars for sale section? i know it is a very good source of selling a car for in effect free advertising but is it possible to have a sub section for non porsche cars. its a little tiring scanning through to see past the "normal" cars to get to the best bits.

Just a thought

Your time must be VERY limited if your eyes can not scan down a line at a time

jason, as i said it is just a suggestion especially as the site at one point had very very few non porsche cars in the for sale section and it is afterall a porsche site. i am not saying dont have non porsche cars listed only put them in a seperate section.

Agreed. Certainly doesn't bother me in the slightest.
It might if a 100 private cars a month were advertised, but I've been tempted in the past by members private cars as I feel they are more likely to be honest in their descriptions. If they came under a separate section why not have other sections for different classic Porsche?
If I was interested in a 356 it would save my time trawling through all the other irrelevent stuff ?
It works well as it is.

I've bought and sold at least 3 cars within DDK and Impact Bumpers. I just see as keeping it in the family and have no problem with it.

I'm another one that quite likes looking at 'other' cars for sale.

They are often the sort of think I'd be considering myself.

The other thing is that it seems to me, and I might be wrong here, that generally it is the more regular / long term members that offer non-P cars. I'd be much less postive if it was full of first / fifth time posters offering them up all of the time :) .

Sorry David  . Hope you're well BTW?

SECONDED. We can use autotrader or ebay for much more comprehensive listings of all makes.

1988 3.2 Carrera backdate, Black
2001 996 Turbo, Lapis blue (am I allowed to put that here?)
I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Yes i tend to agree with Barry here. I wonder if there was a “other cars for sale” section it might attract even more adverts for lesser cars
