Anyone know ? I was given this watch .. I never wear a watch...
I wore the watch to work, used a sabre saw , which vibrated like mad , and busted the watch !! It won't wind up , you can keep winding it for ever . If you pull out the winder ,and apply some windage, the watch goes . I guess the spring has broken . Is it worth mending ?

Just a quick question, would anyone here be able to make a rough guess at the value of a TAG Monaco (Auto) from the mid noughties?
It's boxed with papers, in great condition, was fully serviced in August last year (bill available) and a new blue Alligator strap was fitted at that time.
Prices on Chrono24 will give you a decent guide:

https://www.chrono24.co.uk/search/index ... ortorder=0

Looks like £3-4K.
964 C2 Targa. 205 1.6 GTi. Testarossa. Fisher Fury Fireblade. Motorhome. Motorbikes. Scooters. Pushbikes. Threadbare Saucony Peregrines. Dog. Human relations and friends. 97.5%-built house.

I see them actually sell for around £2-2,5K on forums.

Chrono 24 prices are always top end but given this is recently serviced you'll probably push closer to 3

Hi Bootsy
Thanks for the heads up, I'll pass this on...
It's always good to know what thinks are selling for rather than what folks are asking! ;-)

It’s a long story, but I’ve inherited from my dad his old (it’s not the original he owned as that was stolen) omega Seamaster DeVille.

I’ve been looking since August last year to replace it for him, and he’s been doing the same, but for me.

As far as I know it was purchased from a private collector, it’s all original (face, crown etc) 18k gold and apart from 3 minor scratches on the glass, it’s looks like it’s never been worn.

The receipt doesn’t really mention a lot apart from it’s condition and it’s from 1960 and it’s just been service

As a complete and unexpected noob, and knowing the prowess of the watch boys here, I’m sure you guys will help me understand what I’ve been gifted and how to look after it.
