started its life as a Red car
But which red? Bahia or Tangerine?

Does anyone know the colour code?

Those 14-inch wheels are definitely original to the car.

The leather seats are from a 2.4 car and the headrests are Mercedes or BMW.

On the basis that it drove 15 miles for the first time yesterday when someone else got it running

I've just taken another look at the headrests. They're probably Porsche ones afterall but because the fabric is leather rather than the usual vinyl, it seems to me that the factory(?) added a middle stripe to hold the leather down. The D-shaped headrests (flat-top) were probably discontinued after '71 or so.

Not seen that before though.

.

If the headrests are Porsche ones they've been (incorrectly) recovered.

When leather seats were ordered in '72/'73 they were supplied with leather D-shaped headrests - both for comfort seats & sport seats ...

Got to be thinking with the lack of body close up pics or of the underside the headrests might be the least of your concerns… :)

I wasn't relating the seats/headrests to the car. I have no intention of buying the car. I was just talking about the interior out of interest.

I would be surprised if they've been recovered. Modern leather does not look the same as early leather. Maybe those seats were retrimmed 40 years ago?

I've got an NOS seat cover from Porsche (just one  ) and its leather is a million times better than any of the samples I've received from places like (new) Connelly.
