Erm just a cheaky heads up to you 914 boys and girls.
we have now got both the 165R15 tyres in from Pirelli
165HR15 Cinturato CA67 https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classi ... -ca67.html this is the really early one. a 1952 tyre, it handles fantasticly.
165VR15 Cinturato CN36 https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classi ... -cn36.html this is what Porsche moved to in 1968. It was the hottest tyre on the block. It still works better with you geometry than anything else.
then we have 185/70VR15 CN36 https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classi ... 36-n5.html that is what Porsche went for when they fitted low profile tyres, again in 1968.
and for the RS and top notch stuff a couple of years later they developed the 215/60VR15 CN36 for the rear https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classi ... 36-n4.html
then there is the P7 range but i would stick with 165R15 as a road tyre and either of the Cinturato are great for your car, but the CN36 will give a little more grip.
Ask yourself is it all about grip - if you fit big fat tyres you wont get it in the corners.

Historically they did make a 15/60-15 TB tyre, but we hardly sold any.
It might be that you are allowed the TB. they are listed on List 1C. List 1C is a special list for tyres that are exempt from R117 labeling, in other words tyres designed for cars built before 1990. It could be that they are allowed.
However - all things considered, if they don't fit on your rims - who cares - those Toyo's are pretty good if you stiffen your springs add a bit of adverse camber and slam that bad boy on the deck till its lower than a snakes ass!
