Differences in Shift Rod length

Post by Dennes »

Hello All,

I am wondering what is this difference on the Gear shift Rod, and what transmission or chassis it belongs.

The longer one belongs to 1970 car.
The shorter one belongs to which model year or transmission type?
Does anyone knows?
Thank you.

Best,

.

The shorter one is probably from a 915 gearbox - from memory, the shift rod from a 901/911 'dog leg' transmission is ~ 15mm longer.

Hi Andy,

Thank you for your insight. I learned a new thing today.
Yes, after measuring it, it is roughly 15mm longer.
