355A Factory Worshop manual - exact replicas / reprints?

Post by 3ftDeep »

Hello.

I just bought a factory workshop manual for the 356A, bought as an original 1950s book.

However, it looks almost brand new. If it's genuine, well really great but I just wondered if it could be a replica or really good reprint.
Is there any way I could tell? Or does anyone sell really accurate reprints?

This is the book with the white cover and blue / red spanners on the front.

Ah well.

I guess this answers the question - Genuine Porsche reprint:

But I got this and a 1976 Stoddard reprint of the 356A parts catalogue for just over £200, so I won't complain.

I bought my factory 356A workshop manual and the supplement manual for 58 /59 cars from AFN in 1969. I paid £5- for both brand new. They both have full full red thick card covers and ring binder action. It was the best £5-00 I have spent on the car. Elfrink book has a lot but the factory one has so much more.

Thanks Roy.

I am on the lookout for the supplement now. I'm sure one will turn up.

I've had a copy of the Elphrink book as long as I've had the car. Can't remember where it came from but it is a good book too.

I would also be interested in a copy for the 356a cars

Is there a scanned copy on the internet anywhere that can be downloaded or does anyone have it on a disc or stick device?

Cheers
