Not saying it’s 100% period correct but this is how I’ve finished my C3 engine

And the valve/cam covers are out of magnesium like the ones for the pre 74? or are these already aluminium?

The photo above looks pretty much like the engine bay on my 1976 Carrera 3.0.
The original valve covers on mine were black finished magnesium but as they had warped slightly I now have aluminium ones on. I still have my originals but not sure if they can be repaired and it does not overly concern me.

Mine is a 8/76 build MY77.
@ Joh: Are you using still the 006 black coil. Would be interesting to see a 75 stamped one. Only saw 73,74 and 76 ones.

I’ll take a look and see what date it is when I’m back at the workshop.dirk07 wrote:Mine is a 8/76 build MY77.

other interesting detail are:
the color of the vacuum hose from the thermo valve to the WUR, found a red rubber hose with a y junction in my C3 box
the clamp #10 for the plastic hose of the additional blower had which correct size? guess 70-90mm
the long paper hose of the additional blower was mounted by a tie strip #13 or clamps with a bracket #12 (how much? 2?) to the engine
-the later PET shows 2 brackets and 2 clamps
the actual PET shows a diameter of 50mm (#22)for the long hose with adapters (#21) for 3,0 carrera and 60mm (#14)for the 2,7 Carrera. I guess this is incorrect. The 83+ PET shows only for AC (399 or M559) the 50mm diameter, which makes sense.
when ended the 006 coil (with the pins close) and had the 001 coils also a cap?
