Good shout. Going by other drivers it's not like they seem to be particularly visible in the UK in the dry either...
I'd previously got LEDs for the headlights so I'm about to find out too.
Got two of those rear LED lights then decided to get the side lights and indicators plus relay from them too. Looks like very quick turn around at their end as ordered this afternoon and they're due to arrive tomorrow Royal Mail.
On the indicators, the no hyperfash ones are the wrong ones which is fine as they're slightly cheaper ones are the right fitment, if getting also buy the relay upgrade so the hazards work (search 911 and it's £9 at the top of the results)

So these are very bright, at first I thought I must have got them in wrong and the brake lights were on. No chance anyone isn't going to see you.
Also changed the indicators, and they are even brighter.
Front side lights, opted against the warm yellow and went with a huge called "why don't you sod off bright white" to match the headlights. Prefer the look of the warm yellow but this year the headlights will actually be used at night and same with the parking lights and the effect I'm looking for is "sod off".
Bonnet prop because I'm fiddling with the breather expansion tank and a bonnet strut is off at the moment...

Here are the LED rear lights in the 914. The US-spec lights also have smaller bulbs in the side, so it's quite a light show, but better yet the yellow LED indicator bulbs are bright enough to show yellow/orange through the all-red US lenses...
After a near 6 month slumber I replaced another wretched fuel pump on the 964 and it burst straight into life on the first turn. I’ll take that….

Not so much that there was anything wrong with mine, but I got all edge casey and thought what if I'm braking and the person behind now can't really see the indicators.
See edge case... they're bloody bright and nobody should be in any doubt what you're doing to anyone behind you

Today I roughed up a bunch of stickers and slapped them on these 70s Samonites to go on the Lietz-a-like roof rack
