UPDATE

We have changed the date to SUNDAY 14th MAY .

Cars & Coffee starts at 10am , but probabally aim to be there earlier as it can get busy. Will message more nearer the time.

The motorist are reserving 30 spaces for the 2 clubs as part of the usual Sunday cars & coffee meeting

This meet is FREE

Please put the new date in your diaries

If you want a posh sit down breakfast you will need to book your table in advance

( reason for date change , the VW festival waved some cash and they have booked the place for the Saturday and it is now a £10 entrance charge on the Saturday which we are not interested in paying . Ironically, Sunday is probabally the better day anyway & it will be a lot busier )

updated in my calendar. Will definitely be more and a wider range of cars on the Sunday. Also on breakfast you can still grab food and walk around the car park without booking.

On the reserved spaces. Are they going to reserve the spaces near the entrance and / or all together? Sometimes they do this. Otherwise if its a free for all you may not get parked together in which case it could be worthwhile meeting up nearby, there is an industrial estate the turn before, then arriving at the same time.

The motorist are reserving 30 spaces for the combined DDK & Z-Club meet. Plenty of space at the venue though

yes 8)

was waiting until next week to post more info up . My mate is the one in contact with The Motorist and organising it all so for a change its out of my hands

What I do know is we have ( in theory) reserved parking for ddk cars and z-cars

We are part of the normal cars & coffee event held on the Sunday

The motorist are very keen on people NOT turning up before 10am due to their licence

Ques have been long for the butties .. if you want sit down restaurant then phone ahead and book a table . I wont be as I'll hopefully be hanging around the cars cathcing up with old and new faces

The reserved parking works well and the marshalls are good at making sure only the right cars get it. I have done it a couple of times for larger events like Bnagers and Cash / Collecintg Cars. I am currently without my car (again), loss of oil pressure this time, hopefully just the pressure relief valve being faulty. Otherwise I may turn up in the water pumper and park with the general folk, at least I can come over and say hello then.

ps on the time of 10am. They try to be strict but it doesn't work, people turn up from 9am. However if you have reserved parking there is no rush anyway.

DDK & Z-club breakfast meet at The Motorist - 14th May

Right … going to get this all pulled together.

New Lennerton Lane
Sherburn in Elmet, Leeds

So, it’s best if we can all arrive together. Thought we could have a southern meet and a northern meet and then arrive in 2 groups.

North
For those travelling from the North we will now meet at the motorist to arrive 10am.

South
Not sure who will be there, but I’ll suggest you all meet at Ferrybridge say 9:15 with aim of leaving 9:45 to arrive at 10am

I need to give total numbers for reserved parking to the motorist so if you can confirm that would be great . I'll class all aircooled as DDK cars for the parking together

At last count we had the following. If you now cant come please say so … also
If you still are coming let me know. Do t want to have empty reserved spaces
