No reserve project on collecting cars https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1973-porsche-911

I assume that a/ the bodywork won't be as rust free as claimed and b/ there are a lot of expensive parts missing. £paint+£parts+£effort+£purchase price = £big

Says it all...
This Porsche 911 is an original UK-market example of the breed which is now part-way through a restoration first started by Porsche specialist ‘R to RSR’.

Weirdly it initially said it sold at £7something but is now showing as £80k.

Looks like the Waldegård/Kinnunen '71 Nurburgring 1000 S/T didn't make reserve @ €880k against an estimate of €1 - 1.4m. Maybe interest rate rises and recession talk is causing the big ticket buyers to take their foot off the throttle or maybe three French auctioneers talking over each other was just too confusing...

The Adler sold at €82k against estimate €90 - 120k

Definately not a recommendation that R to RSR had anything to do with this car.

Oh my. I’d very much like that 907. If only I wasn’t so lazy and unsuccessful. :(

Advert I saw many years ago on the NY subway (when I lived in Manhattan don't cha know) for NYU or similar that said "nothing wrong with under-achieving, it just doesn't pay so good"!
