Congratulations to Jonathan Williamson for winning his class (Class C(iii)) in the 2022 British Hillclimb Championship! He scrubs up well, don't you think?
And personal thanks to JW for giving me moral support throughout the season. Oh, and trusting me to drive his car...

Most excellent, a few other DDK'rs did really well too, Wayne and Paul.
You have to be committed to the whole effort to compete in the British which make the win even more deserved.

Thanks Guys!
It's great to win it after being runner-up in 2017/18/19 ........
There are obviously a lot more modern and powerful cars in the class, fire-breathing Subarus and Mitsubishis, but none of them did a full season in the class this year.
It's really pleasing to do it with a combined age of car and driver over 120
It was a really good night for the South West, with 17-year old Alex Coles taking the overall win in the BHC Cup, Rodney Eyles winning his class in his beautiful Alfa Romeo, and Wiscombe Park winning the Norrie Galbraith Shield for the best British Hillclimb Championship event.
Roll on the 2023 season!

Excellent result JW. A lot of effort pays off. All the best next year too.
My combination is 117 years. I wish you hadn’t made me work that out to be honest!
Regards
Mike

Counting my current hillclimb car and me, I'm at 116 years.
If I count the 911 in (which I started in) its 121....
This is a questionable thread drift!

Most hill climbers are old farts!
(you should see the LONG list of 'entrants' in the Over 60's class in the Midland Championship)
