Porsche 914 side marker?

Post by neilbardsley »

Is there a source for the side marker assembly in the UK? Someone just took mine off my car.

Perhaps Porsche?

I found this on eBay

This seems to be a rubber/fibre glass section that sits above the bumper. What is it called?

If it's an original bumper, the top section is rubber, but there are (or have been) glassfibre replacements available as the rubber tends to go lumpy after a while.

I think this is the part Neil - original Porsche part no. was 914.503.023.10 - sometimes referred to as the bumper 'cap' :

Thank you Andy. Looks like it is only attached using a bolt in the middle. Perhaps it is glued on?

No Neil - there are/were 5 x M6 fixings across the length of the 'cap' ...

They are the horrid ‘tits’, not the top rubber bumper strip.
