The market and price for my 69 ex-T?

Post by gridgway »

I'm thinking of a change which will mean putting my slate grey 911 on the market. Spec is:

1969 US T LHD imported and restored by Lee Mayor (who I bought it from). Slate grey (Lee Mayor did the slate grey S rep that David Beckham bought).

I re-engined with a 2.4S motor on MFI that Nick Fulljames knew and checked out with a RR run to 190bhp
The 901 box was refreshed by Mr Bainbridge
I also added front and rear arbs. new front shocks, slightly stiffer rear torsion bars. It's got S spec brakes. I've got it wonderfully balanced, nice and light steering and goes like stink (now that Nick has set up the MFI for me).

I paid 70k for it 4 or so years ago and have probably spent 15k on it since (eeek, maybe not that much, but it all adds up).
I've got one outstanding job to do over the winter to inspect the LH handbrake mechanism and get it to work.

In this uncertain market, what's the good ways to sell it and how much should I be asking and expecting for it when the first signs of Spring appear? Obvs I'll advertise it on here!

Cheers
Graham
