550 Spyder on Fifth Gear

Just spent Monday filming with Tiff Needell and Jason Plato for a Fith Gear feature on the Martin & Walker Technic 550 Spyder and Westfield Lotus 11, should be on the TV in April.

Left to right - yours truly, Tiff Needell, Jason Plato, my oldest son Jamie, 550 owner and builder Richard Lamin. Many thanks to Richard for letting his car be put through it's paces, it behaved perfectly.

The car looked great

I felt they were very unfair to it in the race.... it was obviously a better car than the 11
On appearances I thought the 11 would get away from it easily but it was very impressive

I think the Spyder looked the biz. Much nicer than the 11. And by the look of how hard Tiff was trying to keep the thing in line, the Spyder is a lot less involving !
