1971 Karmann Ghia Convertible project

Post by Ants »

I'm selling my 1971 restoration project, as now that one side has been stripped (see pics) it looks like the cost will be above my budget, plus I'd struggle to find the time for a project of this size. The car, which is UK registered, starts, stops, runs, drives, and the gear box feels good. I have refurbished the front seats in leather (have half a hide left), the roof mechanism is complete, but the hood needs replacing.
The floor pans need replacing, as well as the sills and battery tray, plus there are some other areas where previous welding could to be redone. It's been cal'd in the past hence the removal of the door handles (the mechanisms are still in place and working), and the headlights have been altered (I have repair panels to correct this, and headlight bowls). The original colour is off white.
Possibly a great project for someone able to do the welding themselves.
Looking for £7000 ish, if interested message me or call on 07776 233007.

Thanks Antony
