Ref DSS on other page:

Rubber band front suspension on the front, and sliding pillar on the rear.
A contraption design for the sake of it being very unique?

Good imagination mind!

This bike was built by an old guy in Plymouth who is, basically, an inventor. He built a follow-up model, which had revised front and rear suspension. The frame was made from scratch, too.

The bike was hung upside down in his garage, so I inverted the photos, hence the 'anti-gravity' items on the shelf behind!

Oh, and he also built his own saloon car from scratch, using a Ford engine and box, with everything including the body and interior, suspension etc made in his shed at home. And, yes, it's all legally registered, with a 'Q' plate...

Oh what I’d give to be back in 95 - I was there, with a lady, at the bar drinking JD all day. Not a worry in the world. My 66 Ghia was on display. 27 years ago! Crazy.

LOTS of great memories doing hot rod shows all over the place, and Rod Runs in the 70's, just the best.

Not sure about the targa, but I always thought the Griffo coupe was the best looking car ever, from my school days in the 1960's.

That’s presumably KS’s chopped yellow car peeping in the side.

I was there too. Not old enough to drive yet, but I had my 66 Beetle, all in bits.

Not a worry in the world is right.

Indeed. It was the subject of the first ever magazine feature I had published back in 1976, and little did I know that I'd end up tracking it down and buying it about 17 years later, following it being laid up since 1984. First street-legal VW in the UK to run '12s'. I used to race anything I could find - Subaru Imprezas and Cosworth Sierras were my favourite victims!
