Obv has enough customers now he doesn’t need to support, grow or handle any new or existing customers. Let’s hope that continues for CC

Re: New Car Woes - 1...Update
The video says all parts refinished back to the original specification. If you bought it directly from Canford Classics then you should have no problems strongarming them into refinishing the oil pipe to the original specification. The offer to waive all your consequential losses and damages, such as loss of usage of the car, and your time investigating etc. if they jump to it might sweeten the deal.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

New Car Woes - 1...Update
I didn’t buy it direct from them Rob. I bought it through GT Classics in Andover.
This was just a video they had done at the time. Just sharing to show Nine One One which car is mine..

Ah shoot. Appears to reflect badly on Canford Classics as "returned to original spec" would not have failed within three years.

Yeah. No doubt they don’t want to lose £5k or whatever fixing it, but you’d have thought potential reputational damage would be worth way, way more than that.

But if nobody can get the pipes, the job cannot be started let alone done.

I am sure somebody can manufacture pipes to an even higher standard, if asked to do so?911hillclimber wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 1:14 pm But if nobody can get the pipes, the job cannot be started let alone done.

Re: New Car Woes - 1...Update
Pipe manipulars are everywhere.
Protopipe in Coventry look good, or Pipecraft.
They will need the two old pipes to reference to, so the damaged one will need to be hacked rigidly back together. The fittings will be the awkward (M30 ?), but can be removed and re-used on the fresh pipes.
Get 3 sets made. Sell the other two sets to off-set the one used on this car. Someone else somewhere will want these pipes.

Neil Bainbridge had some when I enquired with him so I probably can get them, or as you say get made up…911hillclimber wrote:But if nobody can get the pipes, the job cannot be started let alone done.
