Hello Ian,
Yes I’m so lucky, but as most I’ve still got plenty of metal work to do I think. But quite sound. Going back to original light ivory.
Will be up for sale if I don’t get back overseas…… damn oil and gas saga…. I’m working but in the Uk. Obviously not the same haha.

Resto thread for 119100008 69t
Hello, got to the floor today, any anyone in the know have a look at the pictures and let me know if it looks like the original floor?
Look like a few bumps for poor jacking. I hope it straightens ok?
Thanks

Can’t tell too well from the pictures but if the circular depressions have a opening half way around one edge then it’s probably original.
The reproduction floors have the depression but most leave them closed as they are not needed unless you plan to dip the car!

Hello Gary thanks mate.
Are you talking about holes around the edge of the floor with transparent plugs ?
I do have them

Imho they are original.
Those small hand welded tack welds at the rear and trans tunnel give it away I think.
Hope they are as it would be good to keep them.

Re: Resto thread for 119100008 69t
I found that hitting mine pretty hard with a heavy hammer was surprisingly effective at straightening out the jacking damage. It tended to bend back to its original shape rather than dent anew.

Re: Resto thread for 119100008 69t
My 73 had been jacked up right in the middle of the floor come tunnel before I got it, good imprint of the jack round head resulted.
I just left it there as part of its scruffy history....

Re: Resto thread for 119100008 69t
Ok thanks.I think I’m going to have some straightened but I don’t think it’s too bad to be honest. Hopefully finish both sides of the floor next week. Then to the front partition panel and tank removal.

Re: Resto thread for 119100008 69t
I will need to replace a small area near the front footwell. Looks like water got in and rotted a hole 2 inches long. Very small area and purchase the right part.
Will be keeping the rest of the floor.
Thanks Gary
