964 rear brake refurb- help

Post by MarkIII »

Hi all

Just managed to get hold of a 964 which has been off road for 10 yrs, so going through the normal systems. I need to source some rear brake pads, the first couple of sets which have turned up are incoorect acvording to friend who is refurbishment the brakes, apparently they must have a round spring in the back of the pad....can anyone who knows 964s help and recommend a decent product for spirited Road use...

Thanks
Mark

I use EBC yellows on my race car and I think I went for reds in my 964. They seem to have their detractors but I think they’re fantastic in both cars.

Another 964 resto / refresh thread would be good, and some pics!

I am doing some more work on mine at the mo but have also just bought another Boxster that needs an engine change for a winter project!

If you need any advice on the 964 let me know - I did everything on mine!

Thanks for the advice, hoping to get the car in the next week following some light commissioning work to get her road worthy. Will post some pics shortly.

Cheers Mark
