Yes I have the sales receipt. I can include a copy of that. I guess the question is strictly who sold it or transferred it to you, not who was the previous RK.

I don’t think you can be expected to know more than that. They are asking a question where the answer has been removed from the V5 in recent years, so I can only guess they are looking to evidence the history in some way

Thinking about it again, with these things you needed to be prepared to take the car to be inspected, and of course there are no DVLA offices any more, so I guess they need to ask something that only you would know…

Try to actually call someone there.
So much better than emails and letters, and you can get to the bottom line quickly.
I needed a new log book for one of my recent bike restorations and it was a breeze, about 10 days I think, right in the Covid Storm too.
I called up about registering my 2 French bikes a few years back now, and the response was really good. 10 days, period number plates and V5's allocated.
I've read recently that the service responses within the DVLA is getting much better.
Going back to 1994 and declaring my 3.2 engine into my 2.4T I had to prove the engine was not stolen. I managed to contact a 'specialist' policeman by phone, and that was enough.
V5 changed instantly and a new one issued which I still have.
So much better than emails and letters, and you can get to the bottom line quickly.
