Definitely. And don’t expect to get lucky, but be hugely thankful if you do (find a Ferrari toolkit in the luggage compartment)!…

Re: Beverley Hills Car Club
You get what you pay for. I’ve seen £1,000,000 restorations that have cost tens of thousands to get right and Beverley Hills is selling old heaps. Until you’ve bought old cars and experienced all the problems, you don’t realise what you’re letting yourself in for, but it’s better if you can do most of it yourself. At least then you’ve a chance of knowing if anyone who works on your car is safe.
Re: Beverley Hills Car Club
Definitely a place you need to visit if you're buying a car.
I was there in 2018, amazing place to walk round, cars in all sort of states, just as I was leaving a lovely 1981 911SC pulled in that they'd just taken for a smog test.
I showed some interest, took it for a test drive, had it up on the ramp, much to the wife's dismay hoping that we were leaving, noticed it needed a couple of a couple of tires but a good honest car.
Left an offer of $30,000 and flew back home the next day. Chased back up the next day and the salesman had spoken to his manager and a deal was done. They even arranged the shipping cheaper than I could get.
All in all a great experience.
