Here's the same car in Cornwall last month. Love it (apart from apparent lack of seatbelts...)!

It has seat belts now ( harness) .
Twin 40’s mapped ignition, lowered. All body work done and painted by himself on a shell dragged out of a field. Probably just under 100 bhp and ~600 kg or a bit less. Just done his 1st track laps and now keen to do more. Not too much choice in Cornwall I guess.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Certainly are some nice cars out there, few bog standard.
A lot of work going into these cars, and if young people are doing it all, just great, esp if DIY with mates.
Hard cars to keep alive I would think with engines and boxes getting tough to find or repair (according to a G4 Ginetta hill climber i know well).
Back in the early 70's a few mates had them, rev like mad with a good combo of handling and even stopping.

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
Imp International spent a few days in my Dad’s home town, and his first car being a Singer Chamois he was there like a shot….
This car caught my eye from his pics, built in a similar way (maybe slightly over- wheeled but I like it)

Re: my non-Porsche picture of the day
The dark metallic green car does normally run a BMW bike engine, as quite a few modified cars do now.
Did he make it to the main display on the Sunday ? Never a bad turn out for a little car that you never see any more

Yes he did Tim
His brother in law saw a couple of cars in Chawton this morning, so still a few around. Wish I had have known it was on, as I would have planned a trip down. An imp is on my bucket list, came very close to buying a Californian a few years ago

Had an invitation into the BRDC at Silverstone courtesy of Mike Wilds. Fortunately, I was dressed appropriately.
