Windscreen for 1969 911t

Post by rdg496 »

Can anyone provide some hands on experience and recommendations for a replacement windscreen fro a 1969 911t. There seem to be a few options across the price range, if there are better priced alternatives I'd rather not pay up for an official Porsche screen unless it is the best option.
I want to get the MOT done (For piece of mind) and the screen will need replacing to pass.

Many thanks.

There's a company in Tamworth does heated front windscreens and they're really cost-effective. Ricky Evans Motorsport.

I'm looking for a pre-impact bumper 911S or other high-revving 911 to restore - please let me know if you see one.

Indeed I have seen their web page. It seems there are so many options and views on OEM/Porsche/3rd party screens. My thoughts are to buy a Porsche rubber seal and OEM/3rd party screen. The front screen is not heated so I dont need the added expense. I just wanted to see if anyone had hands on experience, if not I'll go with something cost effective as it is ultimately service item.......and not a show car.

Cheers.

I bought a Sekurit screen from National Windscreens. It is perfect and much cheaper than the Porsche one. Sekurit were an OEM supplier back in the day along with some other manufacturers such as Sigla (now owned by Pilkington). I used a new Porsche rubber seal. If you need new anodised window trims and order them from Porsche, be sure to check they are not damaged.

Kind regards
